A quick introduction

Dill has long, thin, and delicate green leaves. Its taste is grassy, with notes of aniseed. Due to its fresh taste, dill is mostly used as a final garnish. Fennel greens and dill look very much alike but you’ll be able to distinguish the two by their taste.

Storage

In a closed container in the fridge.

Season

spring and fall

Suggestions for preparation

Because dill is such a delicate herb, it will wilt quickly when used in cooking, so it should be added only at the last stage. Try it as a garnish for cold soups, salads, roasted meat and vegetables. Also good in tzatziki and other dairy-based dressings for an extra fresh kick.
