A quick introduction

Mint can be most easily identified by its refreshing smell. The leaves, which are bright green and have a wrinkled texture, can be bruised to release its intense scent. We grow different varieties, some have slightly hairy leaves and other don’t.

Suggestions for preparation

Mint is a very popular and versatile herb, and can be used both in savoury and sweet recipes. Pair it with peas for a classic and refreshing combination, use it with parsley and fine bulgur for a refreshing tabbouleh, or add it to cocktails or hot water for minty drinks.

Recipes

Although parsley is undoubtedly the main player of tabbouleh we think mint plays an important enough role to suggest this 'quest for the perfect tabbouleh' by Felicity Cloake here.
